Welcome to our new web site and to Behavioral Hospital of Longview.
Behavioral Hospital of Longview is committed to excellence in mental health service. Our goal is to deliver compassionate, nurturing patient care to improve the quality of life in the community we serve. At the Behavioral Hospital of Longview, we embrace the complex behavioral health needs of adults and older adults suffering from psychiatric and dual-diagnosis (psychiatric + chemical dependency) illnesses. Our emphases are to adapt to each patient’s changing needs, to help each person reach their individual goals, and to restore him or her to an optimum level of functioning.
Currently we have 40 beds open to adult and older adults. Soon, our efforts will open 38 more beds to offer our full capacity as a 76 bed facility. Also, look for our upcoming faith-based and Partial Hospitalization (day treatment) programs.
The Behavioral Hospital of Longview is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. We accept Medicare, Private Pay and most commercial insurance. In addition, we offer on-site assessments to all patients.

- Depression or Bipolar Disorder
- Impaired Capacity to Recognize Reality
- Panic Attacks
- Mood Disturbance due to Chronic Pain
- Overpowering Reactions to Trauma
- Excessive Grief
- Threat to Oneself or Others
- Confusion or Agitation
- Excessive Alcohol or Prescription Medication Use
- Illicit Drug Use
